Exceptional fossil Ammonite from Fox Hills Formation, Upper Cretaceous, (85 Million years ago.)  The mother of pearl is preserved in this rare and very difficult to find quality Diploscaphites (extinct mollusk).  The photograph doesn't capture the true irridescence of the mother of pearl. It is bright orange.  This is not a repaired fossil, it is all one piece.
