A really great Pyrite, 360 degrees display directions, crystals on all sides. Brilliant and striated, there is one very unusual flattened crystal. Click on photo for other views.
Incredible specimen of well-formed Pyrite crystals, with large faces showing a mirror-like luster and complimentary, striated edges. Very aesthetic. Endless display angles, no damage.

Formation of brilliant pyritehedrons. Mirror-like crystals show lots of striations and this piece is going to get a lot of attention in a display. Choice condition.

Bizarre duck head shaped black shale with pyrite portion at top. Bottom portion is black shale with high pyrite content. Nature's magic trick. Natural geologic feature of pyrite in black shale concretion. These concretions are found in sizes as large as 5 feet across, but few have the showy pyrite and small sizes like these are even rarer. We predict that this new find will be quickly exploited

We predict that this new find will be quickly exploited and become a rarity in the near future. This one has very large grain size of the pyrites in more defined rings, and is more oblong than most.

Very large concretion with distinct layers of pyrite crystals. How these formed is really unique. Bubbles of HS gas (from rotting organic material in the mud) at the bottom of a sea(later forming black shale) reacted with the iron and solidified in the mud, later to be found as concretions in the black shale. There won't be a lot more of these because they are found only at the exposures on the
Large dramatic plate of brilliant, well-formed, cubic Pyrite crystals with terminated Quartz crysals throughout. Pyrites exhibit beautiful striations and curved edges. One crystal has unusual and aesthetic elongated form.

Two exceptionally large and several medium-sized Pyrite crystals with beautiful, rounded edges and striated faces. One of our finest Pyrite specimens at the moment. Would make an excellent addition to any museum or collection.

Very rare specimen of a Quartz crystal cloaked in crystallized Pyrite with only a portion of the the Quartz revealed. Formerly in the Victor Yount collection, traded to Jack Lowell , and then later sold to Dave Daniel. A very fine specimen.
