Color zoned crystal, very sharp, with small red orange spessartine garnet on thin plate of feldspar, helvite is a rare Beryllium mineral. Several micro crystals of unidentified mineral, probably a rare earth oxide.

Exceptional Helvite Specimen. The tabular dark brown crystal has a hole in one face that enters a small cavity inside the Helvite. Helvite is a rare Beryllium mineral with both sulfur and silica. Also on the piece are orange spessartite garnets and muscovite crystals. The matrix is a very thin crust that has crystals on the other side as well. A very fine specimen. Magnetite crystals with unusual velvet appearance. Strongly magnetic. Sharp crystal form, with smal small quartz crystals. Matrix is combination of calcite and magnetite. The small calcite crystals that are pried loose stick to a magnet die to inclusions of magnetite.
Classic locality Tsumeb started in the 1860's with the working of "Green Hill," a huge hill composed principally of Malachite. This specimen was recently brought to market from the widow of a former mine worker. Shows some beautiful botryoidal florettes (chaoyant) and mamillary formation. This is a museum caliber specimen.. 925 grams

Morganite is a variety of Beryl and is found in pink to peach colors. This specimen is a brilliand pink gemmy crystal that has been etched by solutions in the pocket where it formed. There are some small quartz crystals in a group on one side. 58 grams. Click on picture to see other views.
Extremely rare Orthoclase Feldspar twin, with crystal faces on all sides, cream colored, Jack purchased this in Brazil in the 70's from a collection in Brazil. This is a one of a kind specimen. Click on picture to see other view.

We have acquired a few specimens of Pentagonite, a dimorph of Cavansite. Both are Calcium Vanadium Silicates, the former being the high temperature much rarer mineral. This specimen is Andesite (volcanic intrusive rock) with brilliant pure blue crystals in a well protected vug.Compare at $500 or more with other dealers. Interlocking, penetrating cubes free of any damage. Miraculous specimen, as good as it gets for Navajun Pyrite. Mined over 50 years ago. The best one we have had for number of cubes combined as one. Click on picture for other views.A most amazing example of Nature's engineering.
Perfect Pyrite cube from the classic locality in Spain. We found new stands in China that hold a cube prefectly to make this a cutting edge decor statement. These cubic crystals are 100% natural and are not altered by man in anyway. They are found in a clay that has suspended them to avoid contact and damage with other hard objects in nature. Stands are available for all

Natural geologic feature of pyrite in black shale concretion. These concretions are found in sizes as large as 5 feet across, but few have the showy pyrite and small sizes like these are even rarer. We predict that this new find will be quickly exploited and become a rarity in the near future.
flattened egg shape.

Very large concretion with distinct layers of pyrite crystals. How these formed is really unique. Bubbles of HS gas (from rotting organic material in the mud) at the bottom of a sea(later forming black shale) reacted with the iron and solidified in the mud, later to be found as concretions in the black shale. There won't be a lot more of these because they are found only at the exposures on the co
